ABOUT US

ST. ANDREW THE APOSTLE
Saint Andrew the Apostle was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ and the brother of Saint Peter the Apostle. A fisherman from Bethsaida, he was first a disciple of John the Baptist before being called by Jesus to follow Him.
Andrew is known as the first-called apostle because he was among the first disciples to follow Christ, and he later brought his brother Peter to Jesus. After the resurrection, Andrew preached the Gospel in several regions, spreading the Christian faith with courage and dedication.
According to tradition, he was martyred on an X-shaped cross, now known as St. Andrew’s Cross. His feast day is celebrated in the Catholic Church on November 30.
