Life Summary
St. John was one of Jesus’ closest disciples, known as the “beloved disciple.” He was the brother of St. James the Greater and the author of the Gospel of John, three Epistles, and the Book of Revelation. Unlike most apostles, he died a natural death after enduring exile on the island of Patmos.
